Welcome to Nursery
Where we all flourish and grow!

In the nursery we have adults that help children to learn to the best of their ability. Mrs Haddock is the nursery teacher and Mrs Brassington is the nursery nurse. Mrs Capless also helps us in our nursery.
In nursery we believe that children have a natural "thirst for knowledge". This will develop through their inquisitive and engaging nature in our carefully planned learning environment. To ensure that the children leave nursery well prepared for their "big school" adventure, we promote independence when the children are accessing the different areas of provision that we provide.
In the nursery environment we have areas both inside and out where children can be creative and imaginative, develop their physical skills, count and problem solve, read and "mark make", communicate and socialise whatever the weather. Our area themes change regularly to support our topic and also to enhance the immediate learning, interest and feedback from the children.
To further enhance children's learning they may take part in small focused activities or adults in the setting will observe and interact with them during their independent learning to help them achieve their full potential.
We work hard at Wheldon Infant School and Nursery to ensure that we provide a "world class" education because children develop best when they feel happy, safe and engaged.
