Child Mental Health Week

Tim Peake - Mission Badges

We wanted to go to the International Space Station just like Tim Peake, so we created our own mission badges to wear as uniform.

Art - Vincent Van Vogh - Starry Night

We began this topic learning our primary colours, and practiced mixing them to create secondary colours. We then explored form and technique by creating different swirls, shapes and lines to reflect The Starry Night painting. We finished painting our own versions of The Starry Night.

Superhero Day

Blaze Pods Workshop

We had to test our reaction skills in the Blaze Pods workshop. We were told which colour we had to find. and then we had to press that button only. At the end we found out who pressed the most buttons in the minute. We have lots of children with very quick reactions!

King Charles III Coronation Celebrations 

International Dance Day

We loved learning a dance and performing it to our parents. Look at our amazing video!

Playdough Insects 

PE Object Manipulation 

In our PE this week we have started to look at object manipulation. We experimented with carrying bean bags and balls in different ways and ensuring we could keep them balanced!

Spring 2 

Daffodil Paintings 

We created beautiful daffodil paintings to celebrate Spring and we proudly displayed them in our Easter performance 

Easter Bonnets and Parade - Friday 31st March

We all loved showing off our Easter Bonnets and we were very proud of our creations! We all enjoyed taking part in our Easter Parade around school.

Red Nose Day - Friday 17th March

PE - Moving and Travelling 

We have really been enjoying our PE lessons this half term. We are learning about how we can move and travel in different ways. We have started by learning how to carry and move our PE equipment (mats) correctly and explored different ways of moving across them.

Spring 1 

Cuddle Pets

We have all really enjoyed making our cuddle pets and part of our DT work. We  started our cuddle pet project by designing what we would like it to be (A T-Rex) and then we labelled the different features.We used our designs to then then create our cuddle pet. 

Forest School

We started our Forest school sessions this half term and have thoroughly enjoyed exploring the area. We also enjoyed going on a Gruffalo hunt!

Boat Trip 27th June 2022

Cannon Hall Farm School Trip

We all had a fantastic time on our school trip. We enjoyed watching the ferret racing before exploring the roundhouse and the mammel house. We then had fun in the tubes and tunnels. It was then time for us to sit down for our lunch! After we had eaten we went on a tour of the farm barns and were able to feed the animals and we had a look inside the reptile house. Finally we all had fun in the playground before setting off back to school.
