Science Week
We were set the challenge of building our very own marble run that would take a full seconds for the marble to run through from start to finish.
We began by exploring how long 15 seconds actually is and realised that our marble run would have to be quite long! We investigated which material would be the most suitable for the construction of our run by manipulating a range of materials and commenting on their properties. After deciding on cardboard we set about making lots of individual chutes from a net shape and joining them together. We found that we could slow down the speed at which the marble travelled by lessening the tilt of our marble run.
