We have really enjoyed our first full week of the new school year and I have been impressed with how enthused and eager the children are to learn. We loved looking at our baby photographs with each other and it was a great starting point for our 'Childhood' theme. Our year 1 children enjoyed their first forest school session and have another two sessions in the coming weeks. Year 2 are very much looking forward to their sessions and we can't wait to share some photographs of our activities with you.

As a school we are embarking on a new scheme called 'Talk through Stories'. The aim is to develop the children's story telling skills and to enhance and widen their understanding and use of exciting vocabulary. This week we have been reading 'The slightly annoying elephant' by David Walliams. We enjoyed booming like the elephant but all agreed we would not like an elephant to stay with us!
