Writing

It is super important that we are forming our letters correctly. In class this half term, we will be focusing on the 'one armed robot' letter family.  The one armed robot letter family consists of the letters r,m,n,h,k,b,p In this letter family we discuss how they always start at the top, moving straight down to the "toes" (baseline), then bouncing back up and over to create a curve or "arm". . In addition, we also use the RWI handwriting rhymes to remember how to form each letter. You could write the letters using different materials such as chalk, pencils, in flour or shaving foam.

We are indepdentently trying to write cvc words and will be beginning to write short captions this half term. Take a look at some activities to do at home with your child linked to our topic.
